Our English holiday camps are thematic skills-based courses.

Skills-based.

We focus on the main skills, reading, writing, speaking and listening and the areas within each skills. E.G. for writing we focus on different types of essay writing, sentence structures and vocabulary building.

Thematic.

The topics are theme based according to different days that are celebrates around the world. This allows students to build their general knowledge, expand vocabulary within a context and be able to apply their knowledge. E.G. World Tennis day would involve learning about the history of the game, the competitions and writing a descriptive or argumentative essay based on the topic.

Afternoon workshops and learning journeys (trips)

The trips and workshops are based around the theme of the day. E.G. World Tennis day would have a tennis coaching session and World Panda Day would be a trip to River Wonders. This is to show students how what they learnt in the classroom is applied outside the classroom and to make the camps varied and more enjoyable – as it is holiday time, after all!!
